Hi Buddy,

I was planning to remodel my house. Recently, I visited one of my friend’s house where I witnessed tin ceiling tiles. I was really impressed with the look, and wanted to install the same at my place. I enquired from my friend about how to install tin ceiling tiles?

Get about installing tin ceiling tiles from the home interior experts at NoBroker. Process of installing faux tin ceiling tiles:
  • Accumulate your resources:

A straight edge, scissors, tape measure, chalk line reel, straight razor, and the construction adhesive is required. With some pressure, it virtually instantaneously attaches and can be moved for up to 15 minutes. Per panel, you'll use little less than half a tube of adhesive.

A drop cloth to cover the floors and a moist rag to remove extra adhesive should be at your disposal.

  • Locate the middle of your ceiling and mark it in both directions with a straightedge and a pencil or by snapping a chalk line.

  • To the ceiling, apply the adhesive. Put just enough for a panel or two at once. Alternatively, you might first apply the glue to the panels' backs.

  • Firmly press the first panel into place at the centre line.

  • Lock the next ceiling tile into the other panel by dabbing a tiny bit of adhesive into the "dash" channel.

  • Use a razor knife to cut a circle around the ceiling box after the adhesive has had about 15 minutes to dry. Since the panels are thin, you can feel where to make cuts. Make sure you first turn off the electricity.

  • At this point, only the finishing touches, such the panel trim and crown moulding, remains to be completed.

When installing tin ceiling tiles, gaps at overlapped seams can occasionally be filled by turning a framing nail on its head, placing the head against the difficult seam, and lightly hammering the other end of the nail. You can also use clear silicone caulk to fill in any unattractive gaps, but make sure to clean off any excess before it solidifies.

I would like to conclude my answer here about how to install tin ceiling tiles? I hope this helps:)
