• Gather Materials:

  So, before you begin, gather all the necessary materials, including the window AC unit, window sash, sash lock, screws, screwdriver, drill, level, and measuring tape.

• Measure the Window Opening:

  Then measure the width and height of the window opening to ensure the AC unit fits properly.

• Raise the Sash:

  After that raise the window sash to the desired height, ensuring it is level and aligned with the window frame.

• Position the AC Unit:

  Carefully lift the AC unit and position it in the window opening, ensuring the front panel faces outwards.

• Attach the Side Panels:

  Then extend the side panels of the AC unit until they fit snugly against the window frame.

• Attach the L-Brackets:

  Now attach the L-shaped brackets to the AC unit and slide them under the window sash.

• Attach the Sash Lock Bracket:

  Then attach the sash lock bracket to the window sash and secure it using screws.

• Tighten the Screws:

  Finally, tighten all screws to ensure the AC unit is firmly mounted and stable.

I don’t think there is any simpler way to cool down my room than with a window AC conditioner. Window units are durable, reliable, and easy to install. The installation process is the same whether the window is vinyl, wood, or aluminium (metal). Let me tell you how to install window AC in metal frame:

• Open your window and go to the window on the outside of your house. Center the L-bracket along your window’s bottom. Use sheet metal screws to screw the L-bracket’s bottom side into place below the window sill. After that, use sheet metal screws to connect the bracket’s top side directly to the window sill. Screw through the given holes and straight into the window’s bottom to connect the top bracket.

• Place the AC onto the window sill from the inside of your home properly and close the window so it is snug on the AC’s top. Move the accordion panels on the AC for covering the openings on all sides. Close the window to hold the AC in place.

• Use a drill and sheet metal screws for securing the accordion panels to the window frame along with the aluminium window’s upper sash. Drill and install screws through the given holes in the AC’s frame along the AC’s top. Install screws into the frame along the sides and at the bottom of the AC to further keep it in place.

• Use a strip of foam insulation to fill the gap between the lower sash and the window. The gap is situated between the top window panel and the bottom window sash that has been raised for making room for the AC. Stick the insulation down into the opening for sealing the gap.

• Plug in the AC and turn it on. Adjust the settings and check if it is cooling the room efficiently.
