Being a strong believer in Vastu principles, I have arranged my Pooja room in a Vastu-compliant way. However, I was a bit confused about how to place Shankh in Pooja room. I started my research and would like to share my insights about the same.
How to Keep Sangu in Pooja Room?
The conch should always be kept in the temple with its pointed end facing the idols. The beak should be kept on its side and the open portion of the Shankh should be kept up.
It is believed that the energies and vibrations sent by the idols travel towards the pointed part of the Shankh and disperse positive energy throughout the home. Shankh should be placed on the right side of the room, according to Vastu. To keep the pooja space pure, wash the Shankh according to Vastu principles before reciting a mantra.
How to Keep Blowing Shankh in Pooja Room?
It will need to begin with you lifting your neck and bending slightly backward.
You will need to maintain your mental and spiritual focus during the entire process.
Breathe deeply first, then blow the Shankha more and more forcefully.
It must be exhaled in one continuous breath without any breaks in between.
I hope this helps!

Shankh or conch shell has a sacred place in the region of Hinduism. The word Shankh comes from the Sanskrit word 'Shankham' which means 'holy water of sacred'. During the evening we all blow the Shankh and pray to Gods and Goddesses for our well being. I have also heard from a friend that Shankh helps in killing the harmful bacteria surrounding us. Since we all keep Shankh in the pooja room we should learn how to keep shankh in pooja room.
How to keep shankh in pooja room direction?
I believe in Vastu so I will explain how to keep shankh in pooja room. As per Vastu, we should always place Shankh on the right side of the room. Before reading the Mantra we should always wash the Shankh to maintain the purity in the Pooja room. I always chant the "Sudarsnastrayafat" Mantra in the pooja room. The conch should be placed face upward direction and the beak should be facing us.
You can chant Pranava Mantra after applying sandal wood paste. This helps to maintain the positivity of the house.
I will explain it in Hindi for you as well.
