To link a bank account to BHIM, you need to have a bank account and you must have your debit/ATM card activated. You can go to the nearest ATM kiosk to activate your debit card.
After activating your debit card, you need to set your 6-digit UPI PIN.
Download the BHIM UPI app and get registered.
Enter your mobile number linked to your bank.
Set a 4-digit password.
Now, it's time to link your bank account.
Choose the name of your bank.
Provide your bank details.
Select ‘Set UPI PIN’ for your linked account.
To set your UPI PIN you will need your 6-digit debit card number and expiry date.
After filling in the details you will receive an SMS which has the OTP.
After entering your OTP your UPI will be set and you can easily transfer money.
Setting BHIM UPI PIN is also easy with Paytm or Phonepe. But you will require a debit card. The process is more or less the same as I have explained above regarding ‘how to link bank account with Paytm BHIM UPI’.
