You can check the UAN allotment for the existing account by visiting the 'Important Links' area of EPFO's official website. Before entering your registered cellphone number, click the link that says "UAN Allotment for Existing PF Account". Enter the member details after entering the OTP issued to your mobile number.

Every employee making contributions to the Employee Provided Fund (EPF) is given a 12-digit universal account number (UAN), which is their own personal number. No matter how many times you switch jobs, this number is fixed by the Employee Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). Instead, the EPFO only grants new EPF Accounts (IDs, or member identifications linked to UANs).

How to get UAN number from old PF number?

  • Visit the website for EPFO Member e-SEWA.

  • The login screen will show up. Scroll down and select "Know your UAN" from the list of "Important Links" in the bottom right corner.

  • Enter the captcha and the cell phone number associated with your EPF account.

  • Then click "Validate OTP & get UAN" after entering the OTP sent to your phone.

  • The UAN number will then be provided to you.

How to add old PF account to UAN?

Method 1: EPFO portal:
  1. Visit the EPFO website if you want to combine existing EPFO accounts. The "One employee - One EPF account" button has to be chosen under the "Services" tab.

  2. For the purpose of combining various EPF accounts, a form will appear. The member must provide the cellphone number registered on the UAN portal. UAN and the current member ID will then be needed from you to be entered. Following the submission of these details, an OTP for authentication will be sent to the registered number.

  3. A screen where you can enter the information for merging your old PF accounts will appear when you submit the OTP. After providing the old PF account number and submitting the declaration, EPFO must receive a request to merge the old PF account with the current PPF account.

Method 2: Via Email

If a person has two UANs, he or she can ask the EPFO to deactivate the UAN that was previously assigned. The user must mention both the current UAN and the former UAN in an email sent to uanepf@epfindia.gov.in. The earlier UAN will be blocked after proper verification, but the current UAN will remain active. After that, the user must make a request for the transfer of funds and services to the current UAN.

Hope this helps you with the query about UAN Allotment for Existing PF Account, how to get UAN number, and how to add old PF account to UAN.
