I scroll through several apps especially Instagram and there I have often seen advertisements on 3D house plans. They have always been mesmerising to watch. My father is also planning to start building the first floor of our house so I thought knowing how to make 3D house plan

can help me out to be creative and organised about the plan. I am not an engineer or architect yet I believe even small add ups bear the capability to bring about new changes.

How to make 3D house design?

When I started to chalk out a plan, my brother came in to help and helped me out a lot. He said that I must use an app to do it and several factors that must be looked upon are:

  • Choosing the project scale

  • Choosing the measurement units

  • Draw the walls first

  • Floors and ceilings to be drawn next

  • The rooms must be completed then

  • Adding up doors and windows is going to be the next task

  • Colour combination now must be decided

  • Name where is what room

  • Add furniture and stairs

  • Since its 3D, the app or software must be able to adjust the floor plan and elevation

  • Change the plan to graphic file and it's done

There are several software that can be used for the purpose but do know that the options are going to vary from one to another. I used Live Home 3D so you can definitely use it.
