I remember watching MAD on disney channel when I was a teenager. There were so many things that I learnt from that programme. I know they were childish but did you notice that the man would use waste material and make so many beautiful things out of them. At that time I started developing interest in DIYs and crafts. I can help you with a few ideas on how to make creative things from waste material at home.

Things made from waste material at home

I can enlist a few waste material that I have turned into creative things at my home here:

Plastic Bottles

We hoarded a lot of plastic bottles and I don’t know why we just kept stacking them. I would get annoyed finding them just lying there idly. So I turned them into small planters for my study desk and my balcony. A couple of them have now turned into my art supplies holders with zippers (mind you). You just have to cut the top half and make some holes in the bottom of the bottle to make the planters. If you wish to paint and make patterns on them, that would work wonderfully. While to make them into a holder just cut the bottle in half and use a glue gun to attach zipline to it.

Ceramic bowls

I had a couple of chipped and cracked ceramic bowls which my mother strictly prohibited me from using in the kitchen. So I took them up and painted them to keep my accessories in. Now a simple ceramic bowl is a fancy earring holder.

Tin boxes

I had a box of pringles lying in my kitchen cupboard for a really long time so I decided to turn it over and make something creative out of it. Trust me it is a perfect example of easy things made from waste material at home. I turned it into a table lamp. I hollowed the bottom and upper part. Made a section in the back of the bottle, painted it and rolled up a bunch of fairy lights. I made sure to have a mix of yellow and white lights. Now I just plug them in and switch them on at night. The lampshade is my escape from pitch black darkness.

There are many more ideas to explore things made from waste material at home but these are my top favourites, I hope you like them.
