Hello! I am a fine arts teacher. I spend my days around colours, craft papers, and drawings. In school, I take great pleasure in helping the kids learn how to make golden yellow colour, blue, brown, and any other colour that exists.

There are multiple ways of doing so. Let me show you how.

How to make gold colour by mixing two colours

  • Grey and Yellow:

This method works in two ways. Let me start with the simple one first. Begin by picking your grey paint and adding yellow over it. This will develop a muted golden colour in the end. The second procedure uses 3 colours: black, white, and yellow. Start by mixing black and white. Then, add the yellow colour.

  • Brown and Yellow:

This combination will create a bronze-like golden colour. You can also give it a personalised touch by mixing colours such as blue, red, and yellow to make brown. Add white and yellow at the end.

  • Yellow, Orange and Brown:

If you wish to create a bronzy gold that has a bit of a rusty touch to it, this is the mix. After mixing yellow and brown, add a bit of orange to make this.

  • Yellow and Golden Sparkles:

The last method is a bit different from the contemporary style. Here, you need to add golden sparkles to the yellow paint. This will result in a metallic golden colour. You can find the sparkles at any stationery shop.

I hope this helps you to know what two colors make gold.

Using primary colours to paint something is all good but completing a project using only 3 colours, red, blue, and green isn’t a good idea right? So mix different colours and get thrilled to see the different results. If you want to know how to make golden colour by mixing two colours, get your answer from me.
