I have recently started cultivating plants in my kitchen since organic food is getting more expensive daily. Trust me, It is not as tedious as it sounds! Let me tell you how to make kitchen garden at home where you can grow vegetables and herbs you use in everyday cooking:

Lighting needs may vary according to seasons and plants. However, most kitchen plants need at least three to six hours of sunlight daily. So, find small spaces, such as windowsills, spaces atop the sink that have access to direct sunlight.

While earthen pots are the most easily available and cheapest kind of container, you can also reuse glass containers or plastic bottles or jars for your kitchen garden herbs and plants. Make sure the container is at least six inches or taller.

Your plants need to get the right amount of nutrients that are available in the soil.
