Hey Kripal. I use oxygen bleach to clean the porcelain sink at our house. Oxygen bleach like hydrogen peroxide works well in removing stains and cleaning the sink. So, I can share the detailed process regarding how to make porcelain sink white again. There’s also white vinegar as an alternative cleaning agent to whiten porcelain sinks. I’ll get started with the process.

How to Make a Porcelain Sink White Again?

Here is the stepwise process you can follow:

  1. Begin by using a solution of warm water, liquid soap and a sponge to gently clean the sink.

  2. Wash away all the soap and dry the sink using a dish towel.

  3. Use bleach to remove stains. I recommended this only for white porcelain sinks. Never take chlorine bleach in coloured or vintage porcelain.

  4. Use liquid oxygen bleach like hydrogen peroxide for both coloured and white porcelain sinks.

  5. Pour the bleach into a spray bottle. Cover the sink using a layer of paper towels.

  6. Then, spray the bleach over the towels and let it soak in well. Give this a waiting time of 30-60 minutes.

  7. Remove the bleachy paper towels. Rinse the sink using clean water.

If you're worried about using any kind of bleach on an antique sink, white vinegar is a safe pick. You can add undiluted white vinegar to a spray bottle and then spray it over the sink. With the help of a non-abrasive sponge, use circular motions to clean the sink and rinse later.

I had a white porcelain sink in my kitchen and it was very dirty and had scratches. I wanted to make it white again. Hence, I researched how to make porcelain sink white again. I found that a porcelain sink can be cleaned by using baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and a sponge.

How to Make Your Sink White Again?

These were the steps I followed:

  • I first wetted the sides and bottom of the sink with water.

  • Then I sprinkled baking soda on the sink generously.

  • Next, I took the sponge and scrubbed the baking soda all around the porcelain sink. The dirt went away after giving it a thorough scrub.

  • I then took the hydrogen peroxide and added it to the sink before giving it another scrub with a sponge. Due to the addition of hydrogen peroxide, the scratches went away.

  • Finally, I rinsed the sink completely. This helped me to get the sink back its original white colour.

This is how I did it. I hope this answers your question about how to make porcelain white again.
