PF or Provident Fund is a government scheme to help people plan and spend their post-retirement lives comfortably with good financial aid. My father retired two months ago and I got to know everything about PF in detail. During my father’s entire career, an amount was deducted from his salary and kept in a Provident Fund account and after his retirement, he got this saved amount as well as the gratuity amount that the government paid. Now my father worked in two companies and thus had to shift his PF account from his old company to new. I asked him how to merge two PF accounts so that I knew if I faced the same situation as his. This is what he told me:
How to merge 2 PF accounts? When you shift companies, you will need to merge your former PF account with the new account. There are just a few steps that you need to follow and will get the answer to how to merge two EPF accounts online. The steps are:

You will be provided with a form
Provide the mobile number registered with the UAN Portal
Enter you current member ID
Submit all the details
You will receive an OTP
After entering the OTP, you will have to provide old PF account details

You can also ask for PF account merge and drop a mail on uanepf@epfindia.gov.in. You should mention the current as well as the former UAN and ask them to block the former and let the current be active.
