How to Open SBI NRI Account in Qatar Online?
I chose the online mode. So, here are some steps you should follow to open an NRI account in SBI Bank.
Visit the
SBIonline application portal.
You will see a circled tab, ‘Apply Now’. Click on it and you will be taken to a page where you can see two links: Customer Information and Account Information.
Then, you need to click on each link and enter the requested information separately.
Once you’re done, download the application form you’ve submitted online by clicking on ‘Download Completed Application’ on the home page.
Then, enter the NARN number and your date of birth.
After this, you must affix your passport size photograph in the ‘Specimen Signature, Photograph, and Third Part Attestation’ section.
If it’s a joint application, mention the place, date, and attach your signature at A1, A2, A3, and A4 and for the second applicant, repeat the same at B1, B2, B3, and B4.
All your documents and signatures have to be attested by any of the following: SBI Foreign office, Notary Public, Indian Embassy or High Commission.
You need to mention the details of the third party attester in ‘Specimen Signature, Photograph and Third Party Attestation’ section.
Once everything is done, when you courier your application, mention Online NRI Account Opening Application (NARN number) clearly on the cover of the envelope.
