Since my wedding was nearby, I hired a painter from NoBroker to paint every wall in my house. At that time, I saw him and learned how to open a plastic paint bucket with ease. He opened the paint bucket by

sliding a screwdriver between the lid and the corner of the container.

I have shared the detailed steps that I saw to open the plastic paint bucket below for your reference.

How to Open a Tub of Paint?

It is important to be mindful of any safety issues while opening a plastic paint bucket. Make sure that the container is on an even surface and, if needed, have someone grasp it strongly for you before attempting the following steps:

  • Start by ensuring that you have a screwdriver so you can extract the lid.

  • Now, hold the bucket firmly, and insert the screwdriver at one corner, between the lid and the bucket's edge.

  • After that, press a little bit harder to elevate the screwdriver's handling end.

  • Till the lid comes loose, keep moving around the perimeter and repeat the procedure at various points.

  • Last but not least, work your way around the lid again while it is partially open. Use more pressure to remove it completely without spilling any paint.

The above process I saw a NoBroker painter that I hired, followed to open a paint tub. If you find it difficult, you can contact the painter from the below link:

How to open Asian paint distemper bucket?

  • Make sure you are working on a sturdy surface. Secure your work area. To prevent spills or drips, spread out a drop cloth or plastic sheet.

  • Wear the proper safety equipment, such as gloves and eye protection, to avoid coming into touch with the paint.

  • Check the paint bucket's lid. The majority of 20-liter paint buckets include a handle-equipped plastic or metal lid.

  • Stand the paint bucket on the end, lid facing upward.

  • Check the lid for a latch or clip. Asian Paints and other paint containers with a lid that locks are often used for storage and transit.

  • To gently pull up the latch or clip, use a flathead screwdriver or a paint can opener. Be careful not to harm the bucket or the lid.

  • Use the provided handle to carefully remove the lid when the latch has been released. If it's a tight fit, you can use a rubber mallet to gently hit the lid's edges to release it.

  • It's a good idea to give the paint a good swirl once you open the bucket. For an even consistency, especially if the paint has been sitting for some time, use a paint stir stick or a mechanical paint mixer.

  • With the lid removed and the paint properly mixed, you can now pour the paint into a tray or container for painting, or use it directly from the bucket.

  • If you have leftover paint, make sure to securely close the lid before storing it. Ensure the latch or clip is properly engaged to maintain the paint's freshness.

Now that you know, how to open Asian paint bucket 20 litre. I’d like to say that it's important to handle it with care to avoid spills or damage. Following these steps will help you access the paint inside the bucket for your painting project effectively.
