Sign in to NetBanking of your bank where you have the savings account.
Navigate to the Public Provident Fund option
Confirm your auto-filled details shown in the next screen and enter the amount you want to deposit.
Add nominee details and click on submit
If your Aadhaar is linked to your account already, your form will be submitted, and you will receive a message that your account will be opened in one working day.
If your Aadhaar is not linked, you must first link it, to be able to complete the process.

How to open PPF account offline?Go to the nearest post office or sub-post office in your area and get an application form to open PPF account .
Fill up the form and submit it with the required KYC documents and passport sized photograph (as given above).
You will have to submit Rs. 500 initially to open PPF account (minimum).
You will be handed over a passbook for the PPF Account. It will have all the details such as the name of account holder, PPF Account number, branch name, etc.
