With my son around, I was prepared for scratches and stains on the walls caused by toys and colour crayons. I needed to cover those imperfections and so I thought of painting his bedroom walls with a camouflage pattern as it is great for hiding these flaws. At first, I wasn’t sure how to paint a wall camouflage pattern but it turned out to be easier than I expected. I followed a few simple steps that were shared by my friend two weeks ago and achieved the pattern I wanted.
How Do You Paint Camouflage on a Wall?
Here are the steps you can follow while painting a camo wall:
Materials: Collect real or fake leaves for patterning, sandpaper, painter’s tape. You will need forest green, tan and black flat finish spray paints and a clear protective sealer.
Wall Prep: First, cover any areas you don’t want to paint with painter’s tape and protect your floor by spreading drop cloths. Then, start by sanding the old paint from the wall and spray a primer once you finish smoothing the surface.
Paint Application: Spray the forest shade paint entirely on your wall in a single coat. Next, place the leaves according to the pattern you want and spray the tan colour on the corners of the leaves. Keep changing the leaves in different directions than the previous one and repeat the spraying process by overlapping the black paint for a detailed effect..
Finishing: To increase the durability of your camouflage wall painting, apply a thick layer of clear topcoat.
These easy steps make learning how to paint a camo wall easy and attractive.
