I learned from watching the video that you should carefully follow the instructions below if you're thinking about painting your room's walls by yourself:

• To ensure uninterrupted painting, cover your furniture with a drop cloth or move it to another room.

• Now, place down drop cloths and protect your flooring.

• Prepare the wall by giving it a good cleaning and using putty to seal any gaps or cracks.

• Apply a coat of primer to the wall and let it dry fully.

• Apply paint on the wall's edges using a brush, then cover the bigger sections with a roller.

• If required, apply several coats to get complete coverage.

• Let each coat of paint dry completely. 

• Lastly, take off the painter's tape and tidy up any drips or spills.

• Determine the type of paint for your walls: It's important to know what sort of paint is suitable for your walls because using the incorrect primer or paint could result in early paint degradation.

• Select the appropriate primer: When painting a fresh drywall, use a drywall primer-sealer compound to even out the surface grain and prevent flashing. The paint that is flaking can be prevented from peeling by applying a stain-blocking primer over water stains, ink, or crayons.

• Application of primer: This is a key step if you want to learn how to paint your walls yourself. To prevent drips, place a tiny amount of primer into a bucket or paint tray fitted with a roller grid, dip the roller into the primer, and then wipe off any excess.

• Trim the corners: Paint the corners of the wall by using a brush with a diameter of 2 to 3 inches, brushing both along the corner and a few inches outward.

• Paint the ceiling along the trim: Paint the ceiling line and the taped trim by dipping a 2 to 3-inch paintbrush into the paint and rubbing it against the brush. Work it outward, keeping a distance of approximately three inches from the tape or ceiling line.

• Complete the trim: For painting the trim proceed from top to bottom along the trim covering, beginning as near the wall as you can.

• Take a primer and putty and apply it to the wall. Let the primer and putty dry for 6-8 hours. This will help to retain the colour of the painting over time.

• Choose your favourite light shade paint colour and apply a coat on the wall.

• After 15 mins take the string and wind it with the roller and start using it in a random manner.

• Select a darker shade and pour it on a plate.

• Now dip the roller and apply the coat on the wall from top to bottom in a straight line.

• Repeat the process and you will get a great design on the wall following this process.

This is a process I read and applied on my wall. I got good, effective results.
