I wanted to repaint my entire room with unique and contrasting colours. I saw a few options on Pinterest and decided to go with beige and green. I wasn’t sure if I could paint two colours seamlessly without creating a mess, so I watched a few tutorials on how to paint corners where two colors meet, hence sharing my insights on the same.
Steps to Repaint Your Wall Seamlessly
From all the tutorials I watched, I curated these three important steps to paint the corners of my room with intersecting colours.
Paint the First Wall
Before starting with the paint, ensure the wall is completely clean and dry. Paint the first wall using a paint roller or a brush. You don’t have to worry about getting the corners straight as you will be painting them over again.
Tape and Repaint the Corner
Start by using small portions of tape and lining them up together but make sure that your tape lines up perfectly straight so that you don’t have crooked marks. Once you’re done taping, repaint over the corner with the first colour to prevent any bleeding.
Paint the Second Wall
Use a paintbrush here to ensure smooth and precise application. You can paint over the tape which will make the line more crisp when you remove the tape. Once done, remove the tape immediately while the paint is still wet. This will prevent bubbles or tears in the paint from touching the tape, avoiding any kind of mess and giving you a clean result.
These are some easy steps to follow if you’re planning to paint your corners. However, if you’re not confident about the process and might require some supervision, consider hiring a professional painter to prevent any kind of mess.
