Hello buddy, I can share how to paint a dining room table on your own. To paint your dining table, you will have to start by cleaning the table, then, sanding it, cleaning it again, priming the table, and finally painting the table with multiple coats. I am sharing a detailed version of these steps below to help you easily understand the complete painting process that I used to paint my table a few months ago.
How Do You Paint a Dining Room Table?
Here is how you can paint your dining table at home.
Start by cleaning the dining table to remove any dust particles or stains. Use a microfiber cloth for this. If you find tough stains over the table, clean them with a mild detergent and damp clothes.
It is now time to sand the table. You need to do this in case your table was painted previously or was finished using a high-sheen material. You will start after the table is completely dry. I would suggest you use a 180 to 220 grit sandpaper for sanding. Clean the surface once again after sanding. Use a vacuum cleaner this time.
I used a 4-inch fine finish roller for priming the surface. You can pick a roller which is 4-6 inches. Also, take help of a paintbrush to prime the legs of the table as it can be difficult to use a roller in those areas. Start at the top surface and then move down to the legs.
You will start the painting process after the primer has dried completely. Like you did priming, use a roller for the top surface and a paintbrush for the legs of the table. After at least 2-3 coats of the paint. But, remember to let each coat dry out before you paint the next coat.
After you have painted the table, allow the table to come in a state to be used normally again. Wait for at least 3 to 5 days before you place anything on the table.
So, this is how to paint a kitchen table on your own. But, in case you face any difficulty, it would be better to take help from an expert. I had called up NoBroker to paint my room once and they told me that they deal with such jobs as well. So, you can check them out once. I hope this helps you learn how to paint a dining room table.

Although I love my dining table, it is beginning to show signs of wear. The colour was fading and the polish was damaged. It turned out great once I chose to paint it again! I can vouch for the fact that a painted dining table can definitely be an eye-catching centrepiece that matches your decor and sense of style.

Gather your supplies:
You will need
Paint
Paintbrushes
Painter's tape
Sandpaper
Drop cloths
Get the table ready:
Use a moist towel to wipe the table down to get rid of any dust or debris. Then, use medium-grit sandpaper to smooth up the table's surface. The paint will adhere better because of this.
Apply primer:
Cover the table's surface with a layer of primer. The use of primer improves the adhesion of the paint and helps produce a consistent base. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and let the primer dry completely.
Apply the initial coat of paint:
Start by using a small brush to paint the table's edges. The largest areas of the table should then be painted with a medium brush. Paint the tabletop using the roller. Apply two coats of paint, letting each one completely dry before moving on to the next.
Apply a protective finish:
By sealing the paint, you can increase its durability and stain- and scratch-resistance. Think about using furniture wax or clear polyurethane. Following the manufacturer's recommendations, apply the protective finish and let it air dry completely.
Cure and enjoy:
After the painting is finished, give the table time to cure and completely dry. This could take a few days or the amount of time specified on the paint.
