We all like to place small plants in our rooms. I love having plants on my balcony and I love flowers. Together with the different colours of the flower the vibe of my balcony has changed. From the outside, it looked spectacular, although when I saw the balcony from inside I felt something is missing. During the lockdown, I had plenty of time in my hand so I decided to paint my flower pot. After painting the pots my balcony looked appealing from inside as well. Read on to know how to paint a pot.
How to paint flower pots?
I had clay pots in my house which were perfect for planting. So, I decided to paint them. I will share with you how to paint mud pots.
Materials required:Newspaper
Acrylic colours
Plate
Pots
Foam sponge paint brush
Wondering how to paint a pot? Don’t start right away. Clean the pots before painting.
Step 2:Dry the pots overnight.
Step 3:Spread some newspaper on the table or floor wherever you would want to paint the pots.
Step 4:Apply a base coat on the pot.
Step 5:Put a decent amount of paint on the paper plate, add a little bit of water and start mixing the paint with a foam sponge paintbrush. Add 2-3 additional layers.
Step 6:Decorate your pots and draw some designs with different colours. I tried to create a mandala effect by using different colours. The pots looked pretty.
Step 7:Let the paint dry for at least 24 hours.
Step 8:You can apply a paint sealer depending on the type of paint colour you have chosen. But this is totally optional.
