How to Paint Inside Kitchen Cabinets?

It is recommended you use paint brushes with a rubber handle. This will help you reach the corners easily as it is angular. Now, let check out the steps to paint the interior cabinets:

  • The first step is to wipe the kitchen cabinets with a damp cloth to remove any dust. It is advisable to start painting the bottom shelf first. This would give a picture of the finish you had in mind.

  • When the bottom shelf is finished, then the sides should be attended to before finally moving on to the top shelf. Use a slow dabbing technique to get the paint in the corners. It takes about 2-3 coats of paint to finish the inside portion of the cabinet.

  • The sealing of the cabinets happens in the third step. For this, water based poly is the best to use. Painting the inside of the kitchen cabinet gives it a whole different feel.

  • For quick results, a spray gun or roller works wonders as it helps to go through the process faster.
