As our door’s existing paint was peeling or getting cracked, the painter’s used a sandpaper to remove the loose parts. They mainly used a medium-grit sandpaper (120-150 grit) to roughen the surface slightly. Wipe away dust after sanding.
After this, they carefully looked for the frame for any cracks, dents, or holes. Used exterior wood filler or caulk to patch these imperfections. Allowed it to dry, and then sand the area smooth.
Finally, they applied an exterior-grade primer. The primer helps the paint stick and provides a protective layer.
