Hello there. We live in an area with high temperatures and summer becomes unbearable at times. This year in May, I saw the circuit breaker was constantly tripping whenever I used my hair dryer. To overcome this issue, I searched how to prevent hair dryer from tripping breaker and got both the reason and the solution. You can solve this issue by plugging the hair dryer into a socket which is connected to a different circuit. Let me tell you more.

Solution for Hair Dryer Keeps Tripping Breaker

When a circuit breaker trips, it switches off the electricity flow to protect the circuit breaker from any damage or the possibility of an electrical fire due to overheating. Another reason for the tripping is circuit overload.

Circuit overload happens when several heavy-powered appliances or devices run on the same circuit at the same time. This is actually the most common cause of the breaker trip.

You might be using heavy-powered appliances like the TV, AC, fridge and hair dryer from the same circuit.

So, I’d recommend you plug your hair dryer into another mutual-purpose circuit and also switch off some of the appliances which are using the same circuit. Doing so will reduce the electrical load on the circuit and prevent the breaker from tripping.

This is all. I hope you now understand the process to prevent hair dryer tripping breaker.
