Let me tell you first about the exit date. It is the date that an employee quits their job and ceases making contributions to their EPF account. You must follow these steps on how to put exit date in PF through the Unified Member Portal (UAN):

  • Go to the EPFO's Unified Member Portal (

    https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/

    ).

  • Use your UAN, password, and captcha to log in. 

  • Once logged in, click on the "Manage" tab at the top of the page and choose the option "Mark Exit."

  • You will see a list of all your past employers. Select the employer from which you want to update the exit date.

  • You will be prompted to input the exit date. This should be the last working day with the employer. After entering the exit date, submit the request.

The system will verify the exit date with the employer's contribution data. Once verified, the exit date will be updated. The settlement procedure could take a while. This is how to put DOE in PF account.
