the activities which can be performed by the registered taxpayers of the new e-filing portal:
You can register your DSC.
You can Re-register DSC if your registered DSC has expired.
You can register DSC of Principal Contact(DSC) service on the new income tax portal.
Here are the Prerequisites for availing the service:
You should be the
registered user of the e-Filing portal with valid user ID and password
You must download and install the emsigner utility.
Plugin the DSC USB token to your computer.
Your DSC USB token should be Class 2 or Class 3 Certificate.
The DSC you want to register for should be active.
DSC should not be revoked.
Use your User ID and password to log in to the e-filing portal.
Visit the ‘My Profile’ page from the dashboard.
Click the ‘Register DSC’ present on the left side of the screen.
Enter your email ID which is linked with the DSC token.
Select ‘I have downloaded and installed emsigner utility’.
Click ‘Continue’.
Select the Provider and Certificate.
Enter Provider Password.
A success message will be displayed on the successful validation.
