It’s quite simple to register or update your email address in SBI. A few months back, I wanted to update my email address to receive the e-statements and other notifications via email. I did some research online but couldn’t find any proper guide on
how to register email ID in SBI. Then, I asked my brother who introduced me to the SBI YONO app and showed me the registration process through the app itself.
How to Register Email ID in SBI Account through SMS?
As per my knowledge, you cannot register your email ID via SMS, but there’s a better way to do the email ID registration in the SBI bank. Here’s what you need to do.
Download YONO SBI App.
Select the ‘service request’ and then go to the profile section.
Click on the edit icon beside the email ID.
Enter your internet banking password.
You will see an option to add or update your email address.
After you enter your email ID, you will receive an email with the OTP.
Enter the OTP for verification.
So, these are the steps you need to follow to register your email ID in SBI.
My brother warned me about an increase in fraudulent activities online, which includes sending emails/SMS to your registered mobile number, asking for
your personal information like a password or one time SMS. In case you receive such emails, avoid responding to them and immediately report to report.phishing@sbi.co.in.
