The process of learning how to remove a ceiling light cover is straightforward. You can use a pry bar to open the cover and push the clip-in lights one and more. I have talked about three different methods below. You can follow along and understand the procedure in detail.

How to Remove Light Cover from Ceiling?

Here are a few methods which will help you learn the process to remove light without screws. 

  1. The first way works for ceiling lights having a clip. Here, you need to push one end of the clip till you notice the other end has opened. Once you do this, the cover will come out easily.

  2. In this method, take a pry bar and try to open up the cover by sliding the bar under the edge of the cover. Ensure that you’re gentle during this step. This should help the cover to come out.

  3. This procedure should work for most of the lights attached to a ceiling. I am saying so because light covers are fixed to the base with the help of a metal spring. To remove the cover, you will have to push the cover in the upward direction from the bottom until you hear it come off. Just make sure that no damage is caused to the wiring.
