Hey pal,

I don't like the look of concrete patios, I find them to be old and boring. I decided to revamp and refurbish my house. I will tell you how to remove concrete patio attached to house. Before undertaking any house renovation project, you need to be very clear about your design outlook. If you don't wish to commit to a long-term DIY project, just hire a contractor or interior decorator.

If you think the concrete floor outside can be broken by jackhammer and brute strength. This method has led to many homeowners getting injured. Some people suggest using a sledgehammer and breaking the surface of the patio step by step.

You will need special tools to break the concrete patio. You should have a demolition hammer, wheelbarrow or a heavy-duty shovel, pickaxe, and a pry bar. You should practise precaution while using all these tools. Get thick work gloves, and eye goggles for protection.

- You need to create a void beneath the concrete patio. Start creating a void by breaking the patio into small sections.

- With a hammer, smash the top layer of a concrete slab. This will weaken the support externally.

- Break any slab that is intact with the help of a power tool.
