We were getting our house repainted a while ago, and after the painters were done, I noticed there were dry paint splatters on my kitchen sink. The spots were ruining the look of the sink, so I started searching how to remove dry paint from kitchen sink, because it wasn’t getting scratched away. Here's what I did to remove the stains from my washbasin; it might work for you too.

Steps to Remove Dry Paint from Kitchen Sink

Here is the process I followed to remove the dry paint from my sink:

  • I started by gathering my supplies, which included a soft cloth, rubbing alcohol, a plastic scraper, and warm, soapy water.

  • I then started my cleaning process by using the plastic scraper and carefully removed loose paint. This was an important step since it allowed me to remove most of the spatter without damaging the surface of the sink.

  • I next applied a piece of cloth that was soaked with rubbing alcohol to the difficult paint areas where paint had stuck and left it there for ten minutes or so. The effects of the alcohol softened the dried paint.

  • I let it lie for a while before using the cloth to remove the paint, pressing down slightly as needed. Most of it was effortless, and a lot of hard paint came off this way.

  • I then gently scrubbed stubborn spots with a sponge and a little warm soapy water.

  • After cleaning, I gave the sink a good rinse with warm water to get rid of any soap and rubbing alcohol residue. The washbasin after this was shining, looking good as new, and all the paint had come off.

So if you’re in a similar situation, just have the supplies handy and this process shouldn’t take a lot of time. It will give you good results without damaging your kitchen sink.
