How to Remove Graffiti from Wood?

My beautiful building's wall has become an unintentional graffiti canvas. I was irritated because I couldn't figure out what graffiti removers to use and how good they were at removing graffiti.

My initial thought was to contact the maintenance crew and have them pressure wash it away. Unfortunately, the high-pressure water leaves stains. Hence, I hired cleaning professionals for this job. They helped in cleaning the graffiti. However, they have instructed me on the ways to remove graffiti from various types of surfaces like wood, stone, and plastic. So I think I will be able to clean it in the future.

If the wood is made of vinyl, the graffiti can be removed by first washing it in soapy water. Apply the solution to the wood fence with a soft sponge and brush lightly to remove the graffiti. If the graffiti is still wet, the solution will immediately remove the paint.

If the solution doesn't work, you'll have to use a solvent to loosen and remove the paint. You will have to select a multipurpose product with a petroleum solvent or mineral spirit. Think about using a solvent that won't corrode the wood. Using a broad sponge soaked in the solvent removes the graffiti.

Graffiti is permissible and welcomed on street walls, however, it is not appropriate or liked on wooden fences and buildings. As a result, if you have a wooden fence, you must be particularly vigilant, taking notice of any graffiti and attempting to remove it as quickly as possible.

The use of a high-pressure system is one of the most reasonable techniques to remove graffiti from painted wood. It can, however, readily harm the wood. Take your time and work slowly, concentrating just on the painted area.

Even though baking soda is effective in removing graffiti from concrete surfaces, it should never be used on wood.
