I have a small daughter who loves playing with my makeup. A few days ago, she was playing with my nail polish and accidentally spilled it on our bedroom floor. I immediately got up to clean it up and avoid permanent damage to my floor tiles, but I didn’t know how to clean nail paint from floor. I quickly googled it and found the remedy about the same. Sharing the same here with you all.
How Do You Get Nail Polish Off The Floor?
Initially, I took some paper towels and dabbed the stain carefully to remove as much of the nail polish as I could. I took care not to rub it because I didn't want the stain to spread and get worse.
After this, I got some nail polish remover that I had at home that had acetone in it.
Lightly dabbed the stained area with a cotton ball that had a bit of the remover on it. I was relieved when I saw that the polish had started to come off quickly.
To stop the stain from spreading, I made sure to work from the outside towards the centre.
I saw that most of the stain had vanished after a few dabs.
After that, I also used warm, soapy water to wash away any leftover remover, and finally used a gentle cloth to dry the floor.
I was happy to see that my floor looked good as before. So, if you ever find yourself in a similar situation, act fast and effectively use acetone to clean it up.

This one is from one Kritika to another :P
I am so clumsy and I believe since you’re here asking this question, you must be too. This one time, I was busy painting my nails and suddenly just with a nick of push from my little finger, the nail polish bottle crashed onto the floor. I couldn’t afford to stain white marble floor. I had to get rid of it. So I looked up how to remove nail polish from the floor. I came across amazing hacks. I could share them with you here.
How to remove nail polish stain from floor? In case you spilled the nail polish just now, I would recommend stop staring at your phone and grab a waste cloth. Wipe off as much nail polish as possible. Once that is done, take a clean piece of cloth, scrub and dishwash detergent. Apply the dishwash detergent on the floor and scrub gently for two minutes. Now use the non-dirty rag to wipe off the solution. This should help.
If it’s been a while let’s say 15-20 minutes and you feel that nail polish has started to harden up then this is what you can do. Pour hot water on the stain spot and wait for 5 minutes. Now use something sharp (not too sharp to damage the floor) to scrape off the nail polish. This is how to clean nail polish from floor if it starts drying out.
This one is untraditional but it can work like a charm. Take out your hairspray from your vanity and spray the affected area with it. Now wipe it up. Take a scrub and hot water. Scrub the spot gently. Voilà you’re done, that is how to remove nail polish on floor. Easy right?
