Applying grease on door hinges is important to maintain the integrity of the door. If rust sits on the door, it will result in corrosion and your door will not be able to work properly.

The first and foremost tip that he shared was, we should remove the rust with a steel wool brush to get rid of major chink of rust.

Next, you can pour vinegar on the hinges for the rest of the rust to soften and come off. Once that is done, clean the door hinges properly and wipe them dry.

Next, if you think that the hinges need painting, you can quickly paint them up. If not, take a lubricant and apply it generously on to the hinges.
