Hi Buddy. After coming back from a vacation, I discovered rust marks on my commode. I then researched how to remove rust stains from commode and came across a YouTube video. There, I found that using a Harpic Germ and Stain Blaster Toilet Cleaner is a useful technique for getting rid of rust stains from a commode easily. Let me walk you through the detailed steps I followed.
How to Remove Iron Stain from Commode?
The reddish-brown stains known as rust stains are caused by dissolved iron in your water. Iron oxide develops once iron is exposed to oxygen, giving iron its color.
To get rid of rust from my commode I gathered a toilet brush and Harpic Germ and Stain Blaster Cleaner and then just followed the below guidelines:
I started by opening doors and windows to maintain good ventilation in my bathroom.
I then opened the Harpic Germ and Stain Blaster by turning it counter-clockwise and pressing the sides of the cap.
For a thorough, deep clean, I then poured the liquid around the toilet bowl and onto the discoloration.
I then gave the liquid time to spread and waited for twenty minutes.
I finally used the toilet brush to scrub the stain and flushed.
I was able to get a commode to look spotless by following these instructions. For a more eco-friendly method, you can spray a white distilled vinegar and water solution to the stains and then flush it after a few hours.
Alternatively, you will need to employ a professional cleaner to remove stubborn stains from a commode. I hope you understand how to remove rust from commode.
