A silicone caulk is a heavy-duty gel-like adhesive that is used in both the interior and exterior parts of the house because of its flexibility and durability. But after its usage, many people, after some time start becoming uncomfortable with that and mainly they use it in their tubs, and then a question arises which is, how to remove silicone caulk from tub.

BEST WAY TO REMOVE SILICONE CAULK:

  • First, use a hair dryer (hot air) to soften the silicone caulk

  • Second, use a plier or a knife to pull out the softened silicone caulk from the edges

  • Third, put some water on the remaining silicone caulk and let it get more softened for 25-30 minutes and then with a hard bristle brush, clean it off completely.

With this method, this is how to remove old silicone caulk from the edges of the tub. But, the easier it looks while reading it, the harder it is to do it on your own. So I would recommend a professional to do it.
