A few months ago, my bathroom tiles had stubborn stains and unsightly hard water marks that made the space feel dirty and uninviting. I knew I needed expert help, so I hired a professional cleaner from NoBroker. I watched the process he followed and also to confirm I asked him how to remove stains from bathroom tiles on own. He said all I need is using a simple cleaning solution with vinegar and baking soda to clean my tiles easily. I have shared the detailed process he followed.

How to Clean Stains from Bathroom Tiles?

Watching the expert work made me realise just how simple the process could be with the right techniques and tools. Here is what he did.

  • When the professional arrived, he first inspected the tiles. He pointed out that I had hard water stains, which can be tricky to deal with.

  • He mixed a simple cleaning solution using vinegar and baking soda. I observed him applying it to the stained areas.

  • He allowed the solution to sit for a few minutes and then gently scrubbed the tiles with a soft brush. He clarified it was crucial to exercise caution because a rough brush could cause them to become scratched.

  • He used warm water to rinse the tiles after removing the stains. To get rid of any remaining cleaning solution and stains, this step was essential.

  • He surprised me by using a bit of extra vinegar to remove the hard water stains, and it did a fantastic job.

By the end of it, my tiles looked brand new. If you’re also struggling with your bathroom stains, I highly recommend getting help from NoBroker cleaner. They can make your bathroom shine again. I hope you understand how to remove stains from bathroom tiles.

Hello Shivanshi, I came across your question regarding how to remove stains from bathroom tile. I can help you by sharing the process below.

How to Clean Bathroom Tiles Stains?

Here is the process to clean different types of bathroom tile stains.

  1. Blood: Use a soft cloth dipped in either diluted bleach or hydrogen peroxide and dab the stain.

  2. Fat-related stains or Grease: Use club soda and water to clean the stain. You can alternatively use a non-abrasive floor cleaner.

  3. Gum, Wax or Tar: Take a plastic bag and place ice cubes inside it. Keep the bag over the stain. As the stain solidifies, remove as much of it as possible with a craft stick. Use a nonflammable paint thinner to remove the remaining.

  4. Tea, Coffee or Juice: Wash the stain using hot water and a mild detergent. Blot it later with diluted bleach or hydrogen peroxide.

  5. Ink or Dye: Soak a cloth with diluted bleach and keep it over the stain. Let the cloth be over the stain till it disappears. Rinse the area well after that.

This is how to remove stains from bathroom floor tiles. I hope this helps.

Hey there,

In my opinion, the most annoying, pesky stains exist on  the bathroom floor. The tiles in my house were covered in grout and yellow stains for the longest of times. I kept thinking how to remove stains from bathroom tiles. I tried and tested hacks and finally found a solution that worked. Take a look below to know my trusted advice.

How to get rid of stains in bathroom tiles ?

Cleaner paste :

You can make a bathtub, tile cleaner paste by mixing one part hydrogen peroxide to two parts baking soda (or cream of tartar). Just rub the paste on the stain and let it rest for 30 minutes before rinsing it.

Liquid dish soap :

To make a strong solution, you will have to mix 3 cups of warm water with 1 tbsp of liquid dish soap in a bucket. Apply this solution to the stain with a sponge and scrub the stain with a soft-bristled brush.

Lemon juice.

Another hack on how to remove stains from bathroom tiles is  lime/lemon juice. This gharelu nuska or homemade DIY method will be effective on light stains. Apply lemon juice on the stain and let it sit for some time.

If the above mentioned hacks don’t work, you can mix Vinegar and baking soda with water and create a solution to remove tough stains.

I hope now you know how to remove stains from bathroom tiles.

If the stains haven't been sitting there for too long then you can simply get a cleaning agent, scrubbing gloves and water to remove them. Rub the cleaning agent on your scrubbing gloves and start scrubbing the tiles. This should do the trick.

Buy the right cleaning supplies

If you are all up for DIY stuff then baking powder and vinegar are good choices. Or else you can simply walk to the grocery store and ask for a cleaning agent like a harpic bathroom cleaner. I have personally used it and it works pretty well.
