I love candles because they add a charming glow to any space, but candle wax dripped onto the floor? Not much. When candle wax comes in contact with concrete, it sticks quickly. If you are also dealing with any wax accidents, then worry not! I will tell you how to remove wax from floor.

Steps by Step Process: How to Remove Floor Wax from Concrete Floor
  • Pick a scraping tool that won’t damage your concrete floor. The perfect tool would be a putty knife. Look for a hidden corner in your room where you can test if the tool is damaging the floor or not. If it does, look for another alternative like a plastic knife or plastic cooking spatula.

  • Scrape away as much of the wax as possible and dispose of the removed pieces of wax.

  • Now, take a terry cloth towel that you do not mind damaging and use it to cover the remaining wax. You can also use a paper bag or old newspapers. However, they may not absorb as much as the terry cloth towel.

  • Use an iron set to medium heat and keep it over the towel and the wax. After that, move it in circular motions slowly to melt the wax. The liquid wax will be absorbed by the towel. Remove the towel once finished.

  • Clean any remaining wax residue using a rag dipped in white vinegar. For this, you will have to move the rag in a circular motion over the residue slowly.

  • In case your floor gets damaged after following this process, then just apply more floor wax to the area. Since most concrete stains are long-lasting, it isn’t likely that you’ll hurt your floor by removing wax.
