4) Seal the Joints

5) Mud the Joints

You can coat the drywall tape with a thin layer of drywall joint compound with a six-inch drywall blade. The material must be visible through the mixture. This is one of the main drywall repair techniques.

6) Refinish the Mud

First, you need to refine the dry compound's surface with a sanding cloth. Don't sand the solution too much and avoid blocking the exposed tape netting. Wet-sanding with a wet-sanding sponge can help decrease dust.

7) Paint Restored Drywalls

You can apply a coating of primer to the entire patch area with a paintbrush. Let the primer dry completely. Apply two or more layers as needed to match the patch's nearby region. If the ceiling or wall can bear it, you can also paint the wall to completely cover the repair.
