When my jaquar toilet began to leak from the base, I figured out there was an issue that required immediate attention. After closely observing the situation, I could see that the leak was caused by a defective flush valve. I decided to research the problem by visiting jaquar's official website to see if I could find some guide that can help solve my problem. I found a step-to-step guide for Jaquar flush valve repair. I followed their instructions carefully in the correct order with which I was able to repair the valve and stop the leakage.

How to Repair Jaquar Flush Valve?

  1. The first thing you have to consider when the base of your toilet leaks. Start tightening the bolts of the toilet base using a wrench with less pressure to prevent cracking of the base after unscrewing the cap coverings of the bolts with a screwdriver.

  2. If this process doesn’t work and the leakage continues, then you have to dismantle the toilet and change the wax gasket.

  3. Firstly, turn off the water valve when you want to get rid of the dripping toilet. Then, separate the tank lid and flush out all the water while making sure to sponge clean the leftover water until it's completely dry for repair.

  4. Before lifting the toilet by removing the caps and unscrewing the bolts, detach the water supply channel. After that, with the floor flange you have to scrape the old wax gasket.

  5. Now, you have to attach a strap beneath the flange and properly fix it to the floor by tightening the screws and replacing it with a new wax gasket.

  6. Lastly, reconnect the water supply pipe to the closed valve and check if your toilet is leaking by flushing the tank.

I hope this will help you with Jaquar toilet flush valve repair.

How to Fix Loose Toilet Flush Handle?

Hi Buddy,

The running of water down into the toilet bowl through the flush valve is one of the most prevalent and aggravating toilet tank issues. The toilet installations at my home are from Jaquar. Recently, I faced a similar issue with the toilet valve leakage, and it was during this time that I learned the process of Jaquar flush valve repair. The tank water level continues to decline as a result of the leak, causing the toilet valve to run in a vain attempt to fill it up.

  • Cut the water supply off

Turning off the water supply to the tank is the first step in toilet repair. Close the shut-off valve on the bottom left side of the tank, which is normally placed between the water supply line and the flexible supply tubing that feeds to the toilet's fill valve. To turn off the water, fully turn the valve handle clockwise. If your toilet doesn't have a fixture shutoff valve, you'll have to turn off the water supply at the house's main shutoff valve

  • Remove the Flapper or Tank Ball Assembly if it's still in place

Flush the toilet once the water supply has been switched off to drain the tank of the majority of the water.

The flush valve can contain a rubber flapper or a tank ball assembly that controls the flow of water down into the toilet bowl during a flush, depending on the age of your toilet. The bracket that clamps over the overflow tube is commonly used to mount both of these.

Remove any brackets, guide wires, or flush lever chain, as well as the old flapper or tank ball. Only the uncovered seat of the drain valve should be left from the old assembly.

Avoid dropping anything into the drain valve opening, since this may cause the toilet to clog. This is one of the main steps while learning how to repair jaquar metropole flush valve

  • Remove any remaining water from the tank

There will be a little quantity of water left at the bottom of the tank after the tank has been drained and the old flapper has been removed. Soak up as much water as you can with a sponge until the tank is completely empty

  • Valve Seat Cleaning

If the old drain valve seat is brass (which many are), it must be cleaned and smoothed before the kit can be installed. The simplest method is to scour the valve seat free of any remaining dirt with steel wool or fine sandpaper. A scrub brush can be used to clean the entrance of a plastic or porcelain flush valve.

After washing, wipe the valve seat clean with a damp soft cloth before drying completely with a towel

  • Place the Sealant Ring in place

Remove the paper from one side of the repair kit's sealant ring, then carefully centre it over the cleaned valve seat. To secure it, lightly press it in place. Don't put too much pressure on the button

  • Place the Flapper Assembly in its proper place

Before removing the paper from the sealing ring, test-fit the flapper assembly to determine the optimal location. Position it at a 45-degree angle to the front of the tank so that the flapper tank's cone-shaped bottom can freely pivot and open fully when the chain is lifted. In most cases, the lift chain should be positioned as close to the handle lever as possible.

The chain should pull straight up or slightly back toward the flapper assembly's hinge.

Remove the paper off the top of the sealant ring once you've found the right spot. Place the flapper assembly in the right location over the sealant ring and press down hard to seat it

  • Assemble the Lift Chain

It must now be attached when the replacement valve assembly has been properly seated.

Make sure the toilet flush rod is down and the flapper is totally down in the flush valve opening. Connect the chain attachment clip to the flush rod's nearest hole, then clip the plastic chain onto the clip with enough slack to allow for movement. Clip off any unnecessary chain links, but leave a few extra links dangling from the clip in case changes are required

  • Fill the Tank and Turn on the Water

Turn on the water supply, wait for the tank to fill up, and then test the flush. If the chain length has to be adjusted for proper operation, do it now. When the flush handle is pressed, the flapper will lift up and the fill cup will tilt back to fill with water if everything is working properly

I would like to conclude my answer here about the process of Jaquar flush valve repair. I hope this helps:)
