My Rice cooker plays a very important role in my life. Since I live alone at times and I have to do all the household work along with my job so I have very little time to go to the kitchen light on the gas and then cook rice. To optimise my time I purchased a rice cooker and all of a sudden it stopped working. So, I contacted the technician and he explained the rice cooker repair process to me.

How to repair rice cooker?

The Rice cooker gets disconnected when it becomes overloaded. So, to check that this has happened to you what you need to do is:

  • Check the rice properly and ensure that it is not working.

  • We can check the resistance of the cooker to see whether it is on or off.

  • The rice cooker changes the resistance when we turn 'on' or 'off' the rice cooker.

  • Connect the plug of the rice cooker to the tester's lead.

  • Turn on the switch.

  • You will see that the tester is suggesting 'OL' meaning 'over load' or it is simply not taking the reading.

  • If the tester is not taking any reading then there is some problem with the circuit.

  • If the tester is showing zero reading it signifies that the circuit is shorted.
