3) Clean the battery portsIf the batteries have started to leak, you'll notice tiny flecks within the remote that look like rust. You can clean the batter ports with the help of vinegar or lemon juice to remove the corrosion from the ports. After cleaning and letting it dry, put on the battery and test the remote if it works.
