TV remote is the thing which stops working several times due to reasons like continuous falling, harsh use, kids handling and all other minor reasons. My TV remote didn’t work 2-3 times in a month because of harsh handling and daily handling of the kids. So I decided to keep the TV remote away from the kids and prevent it from getting stuck on a daily basis. How to repair TV remote sensor?

1) Open the remote

You can start by opening the remote with the help of some knife or scale. But don’t forget to take a picture of the remote from front before opening it, otherwise it will be a little bit difficult while assembling it. Before opening it, remove the batteries to cut off the power from the remote and be careful while opening it.

2) Repair Kit

The keypad repair kit comes with some brushes and a bottle of conductive paint which is very helpful. Prepare a mixture of soap and water in a bowl, deep the rubber buttons into it and wash them gently after some time with the brush. After washing it, let it dry for at least 48 hours in a very well ventilated area. After drying it, paint it with conductive paint and make it better to work.

3) Clean the battery ports

If the batteries have started to leak, you'll notice tiny flecks within the remote that look like rust. You can clean the batter ports with the help of vinegar or lemon juice to remove the corrosion from the ports. After cleaning and letting it dry, put on the battery and test the remote if it works.
