How to Replace Air Conditioner Coil?

• Turn Off the Power: Always begin by turning off the power to avoid electrical hazards. Locate the circuit breaker and switch off the AC unit.

• Access the Old Coil: Open the unit by unscrewing the access panels. Inside, you’ll find the evaporator coil. Carefully disconnect the refrigerant lines and electrical connections.

• Remove the Old Coil: Use a pipe cutter to detach the copper tubing connected to the old coil. Take your time to avoid damaging other components.

• Install the New Coil: Position the new coil securely in place. Reconnect the refrigerant lines and wiring. If you’re unsure, follow the system manual for guidance.

• Seal the Unit: Close the panels and ensure everything is sealed tightly to maintain efficiency.

• Test the System: Turn the power back on and test the AC. Monitor its cooling performance to confirm everything is working as it should.
