Then, he inserted the small refill tube into the overflow pipe.
Sliding the fill valve through the hole, he pushed it down slightly, then screwed any washers and the nut onto the stem.
Once everything was in place, he reconnected the water supply to check the water levels.
Finally, he adjusted the float on the new valve to make sure the water was 2.5 cm below the top of the overflow pipe.
