I was planning to install a glass wall as a room divider for my 2BHK flat. For that, I asked my sister-in-law how to show glass wall in plan, as she is a civil engineer. She suggested me a few techniques that can be used to represent a glass wall in a plan in a clear and accurate manner. I have shared the easiest steps below.

How to Represent Glass Wall in Plan?

Before representing the glass wall in your plan, make sure about the following things:

  • You must have the proper dimensions with you.

  • Set the glass apart from other materials by using the proper line weights or styles. For that, you can use solid lines to represent any support structures, while dashed or dot lines to indicate the glass' edges.

  • Use shades to represent the dimension of transparency of the glass wall.

If you want to add glass wall as a room separator, check out the steps below:
  • Go to Room Sketcher software.

  • Click on the “Get Started” button.

  • Then create a free account to have a glass wall representation in plan.

  • Sign in with your account.

  • Click on Furniture mode.

  • Check for the room divider option and click on it.

  • From there, tap on the glass divider and bring it out on the floor plan.

  • Now, click on it and mention the size from the right side of your screen.

Alternatively, you can take help from the
