• First, I chose a well-ventilated area for the job. I opened windows and, if possible, used fans to improve airflow. Proper ventilation helps disperse the fumes and reduces the risk of inhaling harmful chemicals.

• Before I started painting, I protected the surrounding area. I laid down drop cloths or plastic sheeting to cover floors and furniture. I also taped off areas I do not want to paint, like trim or edges, to get clean lines and avoid overspray.

• Next, I wore protective gear, including a mask or respirator specifically designed for spray painting, gloves, and safety goggles. This gear helps shield me from inhaling fumes and getting paint on my skin or eyes.

• I then shaked the spray, to ensure the paint was well-mixed. When spraying, I hold the can about 6-12 inches from the surface and use even, sweeping motions to apply thin, even coats. This technique helps prevent drips and runs.

• After painting, I allowed the area to dry completely before removing any masking tape or drop cloths. I also cleaned up any paint residue and disposed of used materials properly.
