Last month, I redecorated my room with wallpapers and struggled with air bubbles. My flatmate came forward to help me out but as it turned out, we both struggled together. It seemed almost impossible to get rid of the bubbles, but we figured a way out. I looked up online and found a few tricks that actually worked. I can share the same to help you understand how to stick wallpaper without bubbles.

How to Stick Wallpaper on Wall Without Bubbles?

You need to understand why the bubbles come out, so you can actually avoid them, or don’t make them worse. Here are a few do’s and don’ts you can follow.

Be Gentle

Gently pull up the wallpaper to release the trapped air, then smooth the panel back down. It sounds like an obvious thing to do but people often don’t take it seriously, like us. If you don’t do it slowly, you might stretch the material.

Flatten the Surface

Use a damp sponge to smoothly press the paper against the wall. You can also use a putty knife or a plastic scraper, especially for larger bubbles. We used a scraper to rub away the bubbles and it actually worked.

Don’t Use Hand

Do not use your hand or a squeegee to rub away the bubbles. You can use the squeegee to smooth the wallpaper down but don’t press out air bubbles. Using your hand to press them away will make it worse than actually fixing it.

I hope these tips help you figure out how to stick wallpaper without bubbles.
