As is well known, an assessee may occasionally obtain a TAN in order to make a few TDS payments, and then no longer require it after those transactions and payments. Additionally, an assessee might occasionally have received more than one TAN. Assessees with multiple TANs should quickly learn how to surrender tan number online.

  • Case 1:

How to surrender TAN number?

If two Tax Deduction and Collection Account Numbers have been assigned, the TAN that is regularly utilised as the firm TAN may be used. The "Form for Changes or Correction in TAN" can be obtained from the NSDL website (http:/tin.nsdl.com) and used to surrender the remaining TANs for cancellation.
