Last year, we realised that our door was quite damaged and the rainy season was almost there. The wood had rotten from inside and it was just about time that the door would break just by a touch. We decided to get a door made on an immediate basis. Before going to the carpenter, my husband thought of taking down the door measurements. This is the process I saw he followed.

Call carpenter at your home to get high-quality services at the best price through NoBroker How to take door measurements?

These are the things you’ll need:

  • An inch tape

  • A notebook

  • A pen/ pencil

Yes, that’s about it.

  • To take door measurements remember you have to measure the door length from end to end for length as well as breadth. These will be door frame measurements

  • If you need designs on the inner frame then you can reduce 2 inch each from the length and the breadth.

  • Keep recording these numbers in your notebook.

I would suggest you to still call the carpenter at home to analyse your needs and the door dimensions by himself.

I hope now you know how to take door measurements by yourself.
