Hi Mr. Dhanraj,

Taking a government land on lease has become easier than it was before but it comes with proper legal documentation and processing. My uncle recently applied to lease a government land for industrial purposes. The following response guided him to do so.

How to take land on lease from the Government?

This answer entails all the steps very clearly and also helps in understanding how to lease a land for farming or agricultural purposes. All you need to do is register your agreement legally to lease a property.

Although you must know that the government land lease agreement for farming is different for different state governments. Some state governments introduce missions through which farmers can get government land on lease for farming for as much as 1000 hectares of land for 30 years.

All they need to do is grow the crops identified by the state government. They are not required to pay any taxes or rent for the first 5 years. Post which they are required to pay Rs. 100 to Rs. 500 per acre.

I hope this was helpful and informational to you.
