How to transfer bank account to another branch offline?To conduct the transfer offline, you will have to visit your local bank branch. You will need to fill out certain application forms i.e. transfer form. The bank will verify your documents and shut your account in their branch. Your account information will be added to the database of another bank branch.
How to transfer bank account to another branch online?Since my account is in SBI, I will share the process for it.
You will need to visit the official website 'www.onlinesbi.com'.
Log into your account with your ID, password and OTP.
On the home screen, select the 'Personal Banking' option.
On top of the panel, you will see an 'e-services' tab. Click on it.
Then, choose 'Transfer of savings account' from the quick links.
On a fresh page, select the account you wish to transfer.
You will need to enter the branch code you wish to transfer the account to
Then, click on the next option 'Get Branch Code'.
Your information will be auto-updated.
Click on the 'Submit' button.
Verify all your details and hit on 'Confirm'. Button.
Enter the 'OTP' sent on your 'registered mobile number'.
Lastly, click on 'confirm'.
