LPG or gas connections can be transferred in case of the demise of the connection holder or if the connection has to be transferred to another family member. How to Transfer Gas Connection to Another Person?

As I mentioned earlier the gas connection can be transferred just in two cases:

At the demise of connection holder

I have an Indane gas connection and I know how to transfer Indane gas connection from one person to another. The legal heir of the deceased will have to submit the request to your distributor. You can visit the distributor’s office and submit the application with all the required documents. The documents required in such case are:

Declaration by legal heir
Copy of death certificate
KYC of the legal heir
Identity and address proof
Original Subscription Voucher(SV) in the name of deceased

In case of transfer in family member’s name

Sometimes the LPG connection holder wants to transfer the connection in the name of a family member who doesn’t hold a gas connection. In such a case, the gas connection holder must provide a request to the distributor with KYC details of the transferee along with other documents.
