I am an HP Gas user. Last year when I relocated to Bangalore from Kolkata, I enquired about whether can we transfer gas connection from one state to another. I got to know from my Gas distributor that transfer of Gas connection from one state to another is possible. 

Can I Transfer Gas Connection from One State to Another?

Yes! One can transfer a gas connection from one state to another. I would like to point out a few things that I experienced while transferring my Gas connection from Kolkata to Bangalore;

• Upon surrendering the equipment (cylinders and regulator), the distributor at Kolkata issued a Termination Voucher (TV) and reimbursed the deposit amount specified in the SV. During this time, the amount paid as a Permanent Advance under the PAHAL Scheme was adjusted upon deposit reimbursement.

• Note that the TV is valid for a year after it is issued.

• I had to keep my Domestic Gas Consumer Card and started using the same card at my new address once the new distributor in Bangalore approved it.

• Finally, I paid the same deposit amount indicated on the TV to obtain reconnection at the new location in Bangalore.

• Now the distributor will make a Termination Voucher with your name, new address, and refund the deposit submitted at the time of buying the gas connection

• You will receive a SMS notification for the transfer process

• Once that is done, you can visit the nearest distributor and submit the termination voucher and other required documents such as ID proof, address proof and passport size photo to resume LPG services to your place.
